3. Early life:
Riyan Parag is born on 10 November 2001 in Assam India. Riyan Parag’s family also has the same passion for sports as his mother Mithoo Barooah Das is a national record-breaking swimmer who has represented the country at the Asian championship and SAF games. on the other hand, Riyan’s father Parag Das is a former first-class cricketer who played for Assam.
Riyan Parag has completed his schooling at South Point School in Guwahati Assam.
4. Domestic career:
Riyan Parag made his first-class debut for Assam in the 2017-18 Ranji season. Riyan played his first match for Assam in just 16 years. Before making his first-class debut Parag also got a chance to make his twenty-twenty debut for Assam. His consistent performance in domestic cricket earned him a place in India under 19 World Cup squad.
Before the World Cup India team got a chance to play two test matches against England. In his first red ball game for India Parag scored 50 in both innings of the match.
5. Youth test match:
During his first overseas tour, Riyan got the opportunity to play against England in two two-match youth test series. Riyan grabbed the chance with both hands and scored half-centuries in both innings of first test of the series. In fact, in the second innings, he registered his half-century in just 33 deliveries. It is the second-fastest fifty by an Indian in a youth test match. The fastest is being scored by Virat Kohli of 32 balls.
6. IPL CARRER:
Riyan Parag was picked up by Rajasthan Royals during the 2018 auction at a base price of 20 lakh. He had a decent IPL season with the bat; however, he became the youngest player to score 50 in the IPL, surpassing Prithvi Shaw and Sanju Samson.
Parag scored 160 runs in 7 games that season. However, Parag later struggled with the bat in subsequent IPL seasons. After a series of poor IPL seasons, he was released by Rajasthan Royals but was reacquired by the franchise in the 2022 auction.
Parag is currently playing his best cricket in IPL 2024. In one of the matches where he had been ill for the past 7 days, Parag took painkillers.

Riyan Parag was a member of the team that participated in the 2018 Under-19 World Cup in New Zealand. The team, led by Prithvi Shaw, went on to win the title. Parag contributed in the middle order, scoring 17 runs with the bat.
