Early life:
Angkrish Raghuvanshi is a young Indian cricketer who was born on 6 May 2005 in Delhi. Angkrish has always grown up in a sporting family. his father Avneesh has gone on to represent India in tennis while his mother played basketball for India. Angkrish’s young brother Krishnag plays tennis at a professional level.
English moved to Mumbai at a very young age. He started his cricketing journey under Abhishek Nayar.
UNDER 19 cricketing journey:
After starting his cricketing journey from club cricket where he represented Mumbai’s Apollo Cricket Club. Angkrish got the opportunity to represent India at under 19 level. Angkrish was part of the team which won the 2021 under 19 Asia Cup. Angkrish had a decent tournament with the bat where he scored 109 runs in five outings. He scored 56* in the finals against Sri Lanka helping his side to win the contest.
After his impressive performance in Asia Cup Angkrish got the opportunity to represent Inda at the under-19 World Cup in 2022. Angkrish grabbed the book series including 1 fifty and a solitary hundred helping team India to win their sixth title in West Indies.
First-class cricket debut:
Angkrish got the opportunity to represent Mumbai last year in Syed Mushtaq Ali trophy. He made his debut against Haryana where he scored 24 balls 26 in his debut innings. Angkrish made his Vijay Hazare debut against Sikkim where he made 30 runs in his debut innings.
Angkrish has so far scored 138 runs in eight t20 matches. On the other hand, Angkrish have so far accumulated 133 runs at an average of 26.60.
IPL CARRER:
Angkrish Raghuvanshi was picked up by Kolkata Knight riders at a base price of 20 lakh in the IPL auction 2024. Angkrish made his IPL debut against Royal Challengers Bengaluru on 29 March 2024. In his second IPL match against Delhi Capitals, Raghuvanshi registered his maiden half-century where he scored 54 of just 27 deliveries.
